Come join our termly Forest Stay & Play sessions, usually in the lovely forest area at Botley School that’s been recently revamped for nature-inspired learning activities, or sometimes in Rayleigh Park. Come and play in the forest with your children, cook something over a campfire, build dens, make some forest crafts, hunt for woodland creatures and many more wonderful outdoor activities. We’re excited to see you all there, and don’t forget a hot/cold drink and appropriate clothing.
Getting children in to the fresh air and experiencing the natural environment is known to help children’s physical health and mental well-being. Young children thrive being outside, kicking leaves, splashing in puddles, making mud pies,
balancing on logs. In these sessions, children hunt for mini beasts, made bird feeders, made natural dyes from leaves, made wind chimes and cooked over the fire- pancakes, marshmallows and bread, and many many more outdoor adventures.
